Suspect arrested in kidnapping, murder of Mass. man found dead in Somers

SOMERS, Conn. — A years-long investigation into a Massachusetts man’s death in Somers has led to the alleged murderer’s arrest, according to Connecticut State Police.
Timothy Lange, 35, of New Britain was arrested in Haddam Wednesday in connection to the death of Jason Comes, of Wilbraham, Mass., who was 38, state police said.
An investigation was launched in August 2021 when Comes was found dead with a gunshot wound in a vehicle on Durkee Road in Somers.
Months into the investigation, police searched a home on Moody Road in Enfield that was connected to a known motorcycle club. It was later determined that Lange was a member of the Outlaws Motorcycle Gang, state police said.
Lange is facing multiple charges, including murder, kidnapping, robbery, and related conspiracy and accessory charges. He was held on a $1.5 million bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
This is an active and ongoing investigation.
