Robert Faulkner Memorial Award – Outstanding Investigation

This award will be given out in three categories: United States, Canada and International.

The Award is named for a former Florida Highway Patrol Trooper who retired as a Broward County Sheriff’s Office Sergeant in the Organized Crime Unit. Bob Faulkner was a cornerstone in numerous racketeer investigations of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club. While he was one of the world renowned outlaw motorcycle gang experts, he avoided the spotlight, believing that an outstanding successful investigation was its own reward.

It is to be awarded to an individual(s) attached to a law enforcement agency or agencies that participated in a successful investigation of outlaw motorcycle gang members. The nominee(s) should exemplify a dedication to combating the criminal activities of outlaw motorcycle gangs. The award is not limited to recent cases and may be awarded for investigations that occurred prior to the award’s inception. However, the nominated investigation must have been litigated.

Nominations for this award should include the following elements:

• What Outlaw Motorcycle gang or gangs were investigated?
• What was the time frame of the case?
• What was seized (guns, drugs, house, vehicles, and businesses)?
• How many arrests? How many convictions?
• How many gang members? How many associates?
