Another member of Kansas City motorcycle gang pleads guilty to brutal attack

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A second member of the Pagan’s Motorcycle Club, a gang based in the metro, has pleaded guilty to a brutal attack in the Northland.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri announced on Tuesday, Sept. 9, that Mark A. Crump, a.k.a. “Navajo,” 55, of Lee’s Summit, has pleaded guilty to assault resulting in serious bodily injury in aid of racketeering.
Investigators indicated that on July 20, 2023, Crump and Jarrid A. Hammer, another member of the Pagans’ Motorcycle Club, attacked a lone member of a rival gang at a bar and grill in North Kansas City.
Law enforcement officials noted that Hammer told the victim they would shut his club down, then flipped a table and knocked the victim to the ground. Once on the ground, members of the Pagan’s, including Crump, stomped, kicked and punched him.
The victim later told law enforcement that those who attacked him were wearing steel-toed boots. He was taken to a nearby hospital with bruising on his brain and lungs, a collapsed lung, fractured ribs, an accumulation of blood between the chest wall and lungs and a traumatic brain injury.
Meanwhile, investigators said Crump, Hammer and other members of the Pagan’s left before police could arrive.
Court documents revealed that Hammer pleaded guilty to the attack on June 18. He continues to await sentencing.
Now, under federal statutes, Crump could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison without parole. A sentencing hearing will be set after the completion of a presentence investigation by the U.S. Probation Office.
The case was investigated by the FBI, Independence Police Department, Blue Springs Police Department, Kansas City Police Department and Homeland Security. No further information has been released.
