Biker gang member gets 6 years in assault cases

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A member of Sons of Hell Motorcycle Club — which takes orders from the Hells Angels — was sentenced Thursday to six years in prison on two felony assault cases, prosecutors said.
Joshua Vaughn, 38, pleaded no contest to charges filed in both cases.
In one, Vaughn and the entire Bakersfield chapter of the Hells Angels were arrested in June 2024 and charged with robbery, assault with a gun, false imprisonment of an elder or dependent adult and gang participation.
Ricardo Alvarez, Armando Villasenor, Joseph Soto Sr., Joseph Soto Jr., Joshua Zavala, John Seeger and Vaughn allegedly were involved in the assault of a man at the site of their former clubhouse.
Members visited the clubhouse five times from March 1 to April 11, 2024, authorities said.
On their first visit, a member of the gang punched a man living on the property then held a .357-caliber handgun to his head, according to court documents.
On the final visit, one of the gang members — angry upon finding a signed Willie Nelson guitar he believed the man had hidden — punched him in his right eye, blinding him at least temporarily, according to the documents.
Alvarez, Villasenor, the Sotos and Zavala are patched members of the Hells Angels, authorities say, while Vaughn and Seeger belong to the Sons of Hell.
The remaining defendants have a hearing scheduled Feb. 25.
