Police: New Albany business owner arrested in connection with failed motorcycle gang hit
Henry Bachmann was arrested after warrants were executed at businesses he owned in the area.

NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WAVE) – A New Albany business owner has been arrested for two charges of complicity to commit murder in connection with a shooting in New Albany back in May.
Henry Bachmann was arrested after warrants were executed at businesses he owned in the area.
The shooting incident occurred back on May 13, 2025.
Officers were called to the area of Bank Street near the Underground Station on a run about possible shots fired. Officers found evidence that multiple shots had been fired from a vehicle that was parked on Bank Street in the direction of the Underground Station.
A woman was shot in the foot. She was sitting on a waiting bench inside the Bohemian Barbershop. She was taken to Baptist Health Floyd for treatment.
Witnesses saw a black SUV on scene and notified police.
According to an arrest citation, the original target of the shooting told authorities he was a former member of the Outlaw motorcycle gang. The gang was later discovered to be an official Outlaw support club named Menace 13.
Police received information that the man, who allegedly paid for a hit on the victim and his pregnant girlfriend, was the owner of Northstar Tattoo on Vincennes Street in New Albany. Investigators identified this person as Henry Bachmann. Officers later arrested the shooter, Aaron Brown, who filled in necessary details.
During an interview with Brown, he stated that he was hired by Joseph Flesia to murder the target and his pregnant girlfriend, due to him being “patched out of the gang in bad standing.” Brown stated that he had overheard a call between Bachmann and Fleisa organizing the hit.
Police say Bachmann was happy about the idea that the victims would be killed on the 13th, which is a symbol for the Menace 13 motorcycle gang. Brown said he recognized the voice because he had met Bachmann before.
There were also communications from Fleisa that implicated Bachmann. Detectives state that Fleisa and Bachmann met up at Vic’s Cafe on April 25 and that’s when Brown was hired to commit the hit.
On Wednesday, a home and two businesses were raided in New Albany in a joint investigation by the New Albany Police Department and Indiana State Police.
According to NAPD Chief Todd Bailey, the three search warrants executed on Wednesday, Sept. 3, were for Cloverleaf Bar and Grill, North Star Tattoo Co., and an undisclosed residential address.
Bachmann has now been charged with two counts of complicity to commit murder, without resulting in death.
