Police searched 32 hotel rooms and allegedly found several illegal weapons

Five members of the Pagans Motorcycle Club are facing charges for allegedly assaulting a victim and stealing their gun in Beaver Falls.
The Beaver County District Attorney’s office said Beaver Falls Police and Pennsylvania State Police were called to the Big Beaver Ramada Inn about 1:45 a.m. Sunday about for reports that a person was assaulted by Pagan members.
District Attorney David Lozier alleges multiple members of the Pagans Motorcycle Club beat a Beaver County resident using boots, fists and brass knuckles and held a firearm to the victim’s head. The victim’s firearm was also stolen.
Authorities said the Pagans had reserved 32 rooms at the hotel. A search warrant for the 32 rooms was issued to attempt to find the stolen firearm, the gun used in the assault and the brass knuckles, which are illegal to possess in Pennsylvania.
In addition to Beaver Falls Police and State Police, local police and SWAT teams from Beaver County Emergency Services and Washington County were called in to assist in the search.
During the search, 69 people were temporarily detained. A total of 26 firearms were found, including the one allegedly stolen from the victim and another that police said was stolen out of West Virginia. Police said five sets of brass knuckles were also found and seized.
Five members of the motorcycle club were arrested, Mr. Lozier said.
Lucas Stone, 39, of Summit Point, W.Va.; Matthew Richards, 31, of Fayetteville, W.Va.; Robert Poffenberger, 40, of Fairplay, Md.; and Adam Lowe of Mt. Hope, W.Va. are all facing charges of robbery, aggravated assault, theft and receiving stolen property.
John Evans, 41, of Beckley, W.Va., is facing one charge of receiving stolen property.
Preliminary hearings for the five are scheduled for Sept. 8 and all were sent to Beaver County Jail.
