Police Biker Clubs Draw Scrutiny in Wake of Bar Brawl
Gang Investigators Fear Motorcycle Groups Hurt Credibility of Law Enforcement

Prosecutors are considering criminal charges against four members of the Iron Brotherhood motorcycle club for their roles in a Christmastime bar brawl in Prescott, Ariz., that sent one man to the hospital.

Their nicknames are Tarzan, Mongo, Guido and Top Gun. They rode Harley Davidson motorcycles, wore vests decorated with skulls and some allegedly carried knives and brass knuckles.

And their day jobs were police chief, county sheriff’s sergeant, police officer and paramedic.

An increasing number of police officers are forming motorcycle clubs, and hundreds now exist nationwide, according to experts on motorcycle gangs. Gang investigators fear that such clubs, some of which have the trappings of outlaw biker groups, can hurt the credibility of law enforcement and undermine criminal cases brought against traditional gangs.

3 dead in wild shooting at SC motorcycle gear shop

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC –
Employees at Cycle Gear said they knew the three victims involved in a Saturday afternoon triple homicide only by face, not by name.

“Some of our regular customers were in here, had been in here for awhile,” store manager Stan Foxworthy said.

A manager of Cycle Gear said a physical fight started inside the store but then moved outside of the building. Foxworthy said the argument escalated quickly inside so he immediately called 911.

“A third (one) joined them that knew them then a number of others had followed that person here. Words were exchanged, not sure what words, fists started flying.”

One injured in fight between current, former Pagans at Hooters

The melee at the Hooters near New Castle Wednesday night was between current and former Pagans Motorcycle Club members and sent one person to the hospital with deep facial cuts.

About 50 people brawled outside the restaurant along U.S. 13, where more than 100 motorcycles were parked in the lot. The fight was between Pagans and former club members who left the group recently over differences, a source told The News Journal today.

Elizabeth Township man arrested after firing gun into a crowd

A member of the Pagans motorcycle gang, angered that a black man was hanging around his house in Elizabeth Township with a group of his stepdaughter’s friends on Sunday night, retrieved a rifle and opened fire on the man and several others, according to police.
Charles Motte, 51, is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and related offenses.

Police said Mr. Motte, who was wearing Pagan colors and insignia, came home Sunday night to find several young people, all friends of his stepdaughter, in front of the house. One of them, Mykhael Kelley, 19, is black. Using a racial slur, Mr. Motte yelled that he didn’t want Mr. Kelley at the house, then went inside and retrieved a .22-caliber rifle and fired a shot from an upstairs window at Mr. Kelley and a friend, Kelsey Gory, 18, as they stood in the driveway along with several other witnesses.

No one was hit, but a 46-year-old woman from Mount Pleasant who was also outside in the driveway, Andrea Faircloth, collapsed from a seizure and was taken to a local hospital.
Police took Mr. Motte into custody and confiscated two rifles after searching the house.
He was being held in the Allegheny County Jail.

Police officers in Winter Springs are sorting out clues in an apparent biker club shooting Monday.

The shooting happened at the Veterans of Foreign Wars lodge, where a motorcycle ride to raise money for injured bikers was planned Sunday.

Officials said two of the victims died at the scene and the third was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center’s trauma unit. A WESH 2 News crew observed the survivor, a middle-aged male patient, arriving at the ORMC Emergency Room.

Witnesses told WESH 2 News they heard as many as 50 gunshots during the melee. They said some of the people involved had “Warlocks” insignias on their leather jackets.

Eginton of the Connecticut US District Court in Bridgeport granted a Summary Judgment Motion by the Connecticut Attorney General’s Office that dismissed the claim of incarcerated Connecticut Nomads Hells Angels member Daniel Kilmas that the Connecticut Department of Correction (DOC) was violating his rights by not allowing him mail with Hells Angels indicia. Klimas is serving 30 plus years in a Connecticut state prison for the murder of a suspected police informant.

Berkshire County Hells Angels slaying suspects re-indicted

PITTSFIELD — The third of three men accused of a triple slaying in Berkshire County has pleaded not guilty to charges following his re-indictment.
David Chalue pleaded not guilty Thursday to the charges he originally was indicted on in October: murder, kidnapping and witness intimidation.
The Berkshire Eagle reports that co-defendants Adam Lee Hall and Caius Veiovis pleaded not guilty last week.
A spokesman for the Berkshire district attorney’s office says because the investigation is ongoing, the case was presented for a second time to a grand jury, leading to superseding indictments.
The defendants are accused of killing David Glasser, Robert Chadwell and Edward Frampton, allegedly because Hall, a ranking member of the local Hells Angels chapter, wanted Glasser dead so he could not testify at an assault trial.

Sons of Anarchy boss Kurt Sutter has enlisted a real Angel — a Hells Angel, more specifically — to play a charter president during Season 5 of the FX hit. “In episode 509, we meet Quinn, the nomad president we’ve mentioned since Season 1, played by the incredibly substantial @RustyCoones,” Sutter shared on Twitter. (An FX rep confirmed for TVLine the casting of the 6-foot-5, 285-lb. biker/musician.) The Nomads — or, SAMCRO members who don’t belong to a specific charter — figure into the coming season when a few from its ranks get voted into the Charming club. In fact, another Hells Angel, Chuck Zito (Oz), will recur as one of the new arrivals, Frankie Diamonds. Coones is the founder of the Orange County chapter of Hells Angels, and has served as president of the motorcycle club’s San Fernando Valley chapter. His heavy-metal band, Attika7, has contributed songs for Sons over the years, and his Illusion Motorsports bike shop has custom-built at last two rides for Sutter. Earlier this year, Coones appeared on TV with a visit to Discovery Channel’s The Devils Ride. Season 5 of Sons premieres Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 10/9c.
