CONCERNED owners at a business estate in Dandenong are fighting to have a bikie clubhouse evicted following a fire bomb attack that left their businesses uninsured.

The upset owners are calling on the Premier to act as a flood of outlaw motorcycle clubs cross the border into Victoria.

CHU Insurance have refused to renew the $30 million policy covering 81 businesses in the estate in Dunn Crescent, Dandenong South, thanks to the resident Bandido’s chapter at number 42, citing ‘moral risk’ as the reason.

Moral risk is attracted by the likes of brothels, firework manufacturers and gun clubs.

Prosecution wrapping up case in biker trial

The prosecution is wrapping up its case in the trial of a biker accused of murder.

Ernesto Gonzalez faces charges in the shooting death of Jethro Pettigrew. Prosecutors say Gonzalez was part of a plan by the Vagos motorcycle gang to kill a member of the Hells Angels. The two groups clashed inside John Ascuaga’s Nugget during Street Vibrations two years ago. A San Francisco police officer testified today after the shooting, saying Gonzalez was afraid of being killed by the Hells Angels when officers arrested him in California.

WELLAND – A Niagara Regional Police officer, who was found guilty of breach of trust for leaking information to the Hells Angels, says he intends to appeal the judge’s decision.
Frank Dean Rudge was convicted Friday in a Welland courtroom for leaking confidential police documents to the motorcycle gang during a two-year period between August 2004 and September 2006.

Rudge showed no reaction as the verdict was read out in court. Wearing a black suit and tie, he sat beside his lawyer, Ronald Brady, when the verdict was delivered.

“I do not believe Rudge’s evidence. It does not leave me with a reasonable doubt and I am not left with a reasonable doubt on the basis of all the evidence,” said Justice Peter Hambly, of the Superior Court of Justice.

”My belief that he did so is much closer to absolute certainty than it is to a belief on a balance of probabilities.”

After delivering his verdict, the judge ordered a break in the proceedings. Court resumed a short time later to order a pre-sentencing report and to schedule a date for sentencing.
During the break, NRP Chief Jeff McGuire was seen arriving at the courthouse.

Iron Horsemen president the latest Maryland motorcycle-club leader to face criminal charges

First it was the Pagans, then it was the Outlaws, and now it’s the Iron Horsemen. Maryland leaders from all three motorcycle clubs have landed in trouble in recent times.

In the fall of 2009, the national president of the Pagans Motorcycle Club, David Keith Barbeito of Myersville, near Frederick, was indicted in West Virginia in a massive racketeering conspiracy to which he later pleaded guilty and in 2011 was sentenced to 30 months in prison. Federal inmate records show he was released in December 2011.

Earlier this year, the president of the Philadelphia chapter of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club, Ronald L. “Bugs” Sells of Churchville, near Belair, was charged in amethamphetamine conspiracy to which he has since pleaded guilty, and is scheduled to be sentenced this summer. Two Baltimore men – Michael Privett and Robert Mansfield – were also charged in Pennsylvania as a result of the FBI’s undercover infiltration of the Outlaws chapter.

Most recently, and until now unreported by the media (or so it seems, based on Google searches), in May the president of the Southern Maryland chapter of the Iron Horsemen Motorcycle Club, Robert Scott Grieninger, pleaded guilty to a drugs-and-weapons indictment that resulted from a July 2012 raid on the business he manages, Scooters Garage in La Plata, according to court records. Also pleading guilty in the Charles County case was Grieninger’s nephew, Christopher Scott Grieninger. Both are scheduled to be sentenced in August. Calls to their attorneys were not returned by press time.
