Motorcycle club in north Omaha has been shut down by city code inspectors

Omaha police said the Los Diablos Motorcycle Clubhouse has been shut down.

Police served a search warrant at the clubhouse near 25th Street and Ames Avenue on Wednesday.

The search warrant was part of the investigation into a shooting that happened on Saturday.

OPD said a 21-year-old man was critically injured after being shot at an after-hours gathering outside the club.

According to police, after officers conducted their search, city of Omaha code inspectors found numerous property and safety violations.
Inspectors determined the clubhouse met the criteria to be closed immediately.

Now danger signs have been put up at the club.

Police did arrest one man on the property on a gun charge, but he is not believed to be connected to the shooting.

Patch-wearing Hells Angels turn up at London restaurants as biker rivalry grows

An organized crime expert says the public display of Hells Angels colours is meant to intimidate and send a message to rivals.

His motorcycle helmet, bearing the letters AFFA – Angels Forever, Forever Angels – is perched atop his Harley-Davidson, decorated with the outlaw biker club’s Death Head logo, just metres away.

Just a few weeks earlier, nearly a dozen men wearing Hells Angels patches – leather vests bearing the club’s logo and chapter location – dined together at a south London steakhouse.

The presence of patch-wearing bikers at both restaurants unnerved some fellow customers and drew criticism from an organized crime expert.
“It’s all intimidation and flex. Should we allow it? Not at all,” said Paul Derry, an author and speaker on organized crime, of wearing outlaw biker gear in bars and restaurants. “Why should we allow them to put more of their propaganda out there and intimidate people?”
While it’s not illegal to wear outlaw biker patches and support gear, police in several Ontario cities have launched programs targeting individuals sporting it in public places.

Police in participating cities provide signs reading “No Gang Colours, No Gang Clothing” to local businesses and say the policy is enforced through the Trespass to Property Act. Businesses are instructed to call police to remove patrons who violate the rule.

In Sarnia, where an alleged member of the Outlaws was arrested after trying to lay a black-and-white wreath at the cenotaph during a Remembrance Day ceremony two years ago, police went a step further, placing signs in a public park prohibiting gang colours and clothing.

Longtime Hells Angel Stéphane Plouffe has vanished

The Sûreté du Québec is investigating the disappearance of Stéphane Plouffe, a Hells Angel who has been a member of the biker gang’s Montreal chapter since 1998.

The 57-year-old Hells Angel vanished without a trace this month and the provincial police force was asked to take over the investigation a few days after he disappeared.

“The case was transferred (from the St-Eustache police to the SQ) on Aug. 7, given the past and the associations of Mr. Plouffe to organized crime,” said Lt. Grégory Gómez del Prado, a spokesperson for the SQ.

Del Prado confirmed that police found Plouffe’s car, but added he could not say much more about the investigation except that “all possibilities” behind the disappearance are being looked at.

Plouffe reportedly disappeared on Aug. 3 and his car was discovered in St-Eustache.

The 57-year-old man’s home in St-Joseph-de-Lac was firebombed early Wednesday morning. Brigitte Barabé, a spokesperson for the Lac des Deux-Montagnes police, said they received a call about the fire after 3 a.m. on Wednesday.

Barabé said people were inside the house at the time, but the fire caused little damage and no one was injured. No arrests related to the fire have been made yet,

In 2015, Plouffe admitted to being part of a general conspiracy, along with dozens of other Hells Angels, to murder members of rival criminal organizations who challenged the biker gang over drug trafficking turf across Quebec between 1994 and 2002.

He received a prison term of more than 12 years for his role in the conspiracy, but by the time he was sentenced, on March 16, 2015, he only had nine months left to serve.

In 2023, the same home that was firebombed on Wednesday was searched by police in an investigation into alleged drug trafficking. No charges were ultimately filed against Plouffe in that investigation, which also targeted Montreal Mafia leader Francesco (Chit) Del Balso, who was killed in the West Island in 2023.

‘Notorious’ Hells Angel Marvin (Casper) Ouimet asks to be released, again

A man once considered to be one of the most influential Hells Angels in Quebec appeared before the Parole Board of Canada Wednesday and asked the be released again while he serves a lenghty sentence.

Marvin (Casper) Ouimet, 57, admitted to the board that he is still a member of the world’s most notorious outlaw motorcycle gang, despite having been incarcerated for most of the past 16 years. He claims he is still in the gang for the “cycling” and out of a need to belong to a group.

At the start of the hearing, his parole officer told the board that Ouimet’s sentence is considered “a notorious case” for Correctional Service Canada (CSC). She also said CSC feels Ouimet should not be released.

“Do you admit that (the Hells Angels) are a group of criminals that, according to the authorities, constitutes a threat to society?” board member Joseph Lainé asked the biker gang member early on in the hearing.

“What I would say to that is (the Hells Angels are) individuals who, in part, are criminals. The Hells Angels are not recognized as a criminalized group in Canada. They are individuals, including me, who is a part of it. I am a criminal and there are others who are criminals, but there are also some who are not. I recognize that,” Ouimet said. “The Supreme Court of Canada has never declared them a criminalized group. It is not illegal to be a member of the Hells Angels.

“The police would say yes, but to me, it is not a criminalized group.”

Ouimet also said he has had little, or nothing, to do with the Hells Angels while behind bars or during the brief period where he was released and subject to a condition to have no contact with biker gang members.

“I read the newspapers. I watch TV. I am not involved at all in those (recent) stories, but the day that I am released, when I can see other (Hells Angels), I will certainly discuss some things. I will make a decision on my own” whether to remain a member, Ouimet said.
“What would it take to get you to quit this group?” Lainé asked.

“I told my daughter that crime is finished for me. I believe that I can do the cycling (a reference Hells Angels often make about the requirement to ride motorcycles annually in group formations) and be part of the group,” Ouimet replied.

He went on to explain he found a sense of belonging in the Hells Angels after going through a very difficult upbringing, especially after his mother died when he was a teenager.

“I know the path I have taken. I know what I want. I know what I don’t. I know the promises I made to my daughter. I am a man of honour. I have made promises and I will maintain them,” he said. “If there is a risk to my family, I will make my decision in that sense.

“I never want to go through the years between 1994 and 2001 (Quebec’s biker gang war) again. I don’t want to be implicated in something similar. That is clear. The biker gang war is finished. I won’t be implicated in drug trafficking again.”

Ouimet was referring to a conflict between the Hells Angels in Quebec and other organized crime groups over drug trafficking turf. It stretched between 1994 and 2002 and resulted in the deaths of more than 160 people, including several innocent victims.

Part of Ouimet’s lengthy sentence involves his role in the biker gang war. He pleaded guilty to being part of a general conspiracy to murder rivals.

In 2014, Ouimet pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder. He also pleaded guilty to laundering the proceeds of crime and instructing people to commit a criminal act for the benefit of a criminal organization. From 2006 to 2009, he used his notoriety to impose himself on Quebec’s construction industry to launder money he made through such crimes as drug trafficking.

He was sentenced to a 14-year prison term and, during 2023, he automatically qualified for a statutory release because he was not previously granted parole. Months later, his release was revoked because, his parole officer said on Wednesday, he failed to disclose financial information to his case management team, a violation of his release conditions.

On Wednesday, Ouimet said he still doesn’t understand why his release was revoked and claimed the breach involved him selling a company he owned.

He asked to be released again, this time on day parole. His next statutory release date is in March and his sentence expires in 2028.
The two parole board members who presided over the hearing decided to deliberate on the matter and they will deliver their decision within the next 15 days.

Ouimet, an Algonquin from Maniwaki, addressed the board for nearly an hour during his hearing. He conceded it is difficult to be a Hells Angel as well as a member of an Indigenous group that does not condone drug trafficking and the harm drugs have done to Indigenous communities across Canada.

Ouimet takes part in Indigenous ceremonies while incarcerated. It is considered to be part of his rehabilitation process.

Police link Welsh valleys death to biker gang rivalry

A man was killed in what is believed to have been a violent brawl between rival motorcycle gangs in the south Wales valleys, police have said.

Anthony “Tony” Jones, 56, of Brecon, died of his injuries in hospital after the violence in Pontnewynydd, near Pontypool, last Thursday evening, which reportedly involved knives and hammers.

Firearms officers, a police helicopter and ambulances were called to the scene of the fight, in which at least a dozen men were involved. Three people were taken to hospital, at least one with critical injuries.

Ten men aged between 31 and 73 were arrested, seven of whom are still in custody. On Monday, the police appealed for Anthony Paul Jones, 40, from Blaenavon, Torfaen, to come forward as part of the investigation, and said officers are also looking for a blue Ford Transit van with the registration plate MA23 FLC.

Det Supt Laura Bartley, of Gwent police, the senior investigating officer, said in an update on Tuesday night that investigators believed members of two rival biker gangs, the Vikings and the Hells Angels, were involved in the incident.

She said: “We remain in the early stages of this complex and fast-moving murder investigation. Our investigation is progressing at pace and multiple arrests have been made.

“Detectives are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding Thursday’s incident, including the actions and movements of those involved before, during and after the disorder.

“We understand this incident will cause significant concern within the community. I would like to reassure the public that officers and staff are working around the clock to progress this investigation, identify everyone involved and bring those responsible before the courts.”

A police cordon remains outside the British Legion Club in Pontnewynydd, where the brawl took place, for forensic work. Torfaen council said on Tuesday that nearby Hospital Road could remain closed until into the weekend.

Both the Vikings and the Hells Angels motorcycle clubs originated in the US but have chapters around the UK. While most motorcycle enthusiast groups in this country are strictly hobbyists, a small fraction self-identifying as “outlaw” or “one per cent” groups have been known to dabble in criminal activity such as drug and weapons trafficking.

In June, three Hells Angels bikers from Watford were jailed for attacking members of the Vikings in October 2022. Another three Hells Angels from the Greater Manchester area were handed jail time in March for firearms and drugs possession.

Trial gets underway for Ugly Man Cossacks member charged in deaths of father, son

WACO, Texas (KWTX) – Shortly after shooting a father and son in an October 2024 altercation involving rival bikers, Romi Frentescu returned to the scene and told a nurse trying to render aid, “Let him f—ing die,” an eyewitness to the event testified Monday.

Frentescu, 33, a member of the Ugly Man Cossacks motorcycle group, is on trial in Waco’s 19th State District Court on a capital murder charge in the shooting deaths of Michael David Morris, 38, and his 18-year-old son, Braxton Johnson.

Morris, a member of the 1%ers Cossacks group, and Johnson died during a fight with Frentescu at the intersection of Mackey Ranch Road and Old Moody Road in Bruceville-Eddy.

Attorney Russ Hunt Jr., who is representing Frentescu with his father, Russ Hunt, told jurors in opening statements there had been bad blood between Morris and Frentescu for some time and that Morris was the aggressor that day. Frentescu was acting in self-defense when he shot and killed the pair after Morris pulled a switchblade knife on him, Hunt said.

A witness for the prosecution who formerly lived on Old Moody Road near the altercation testified Monday his daughter was playing basketball outside when she screamed that two men on motorcycles were arguing in the roadway.

He went outside and saw the bikers “squaring up” like they were about to have a fist fight, he said. He said he heard someone say, “Let’s do this,” and then saw one of the men pull a gun.

The witness said someone in a pickup truck ran over one of the motorcycles and then he heard four shots ring out. He said he saw the gun but did not see the other man holding a knife.

He said he heard someone scream, “You just murdered two people. You are going to prison,” before a woman drove up in a red pickup and Frentescu got in and rode away.

Frentescu and the woman returned shortly and Frentescu and others started yelling again. He said Frentescu approached a Good Samaritan who was trying to help Morris and who happened to be a nurse, and told her, “Let him f—ing die,” the witness said.
“There was no remorse for what he had done,” the witness further said.

Frentescu’s wife, Alyssa Marleen Sevilla, was arrested in the incident as a party to capital murder and for tampering with evidence. She has not been indicted on those charges.

Hunt told jurors in opening statements that Frentescu’s group, the Ugly Man Cossacks, are more of a social group, as opposed to the Cossacks 1 %er group, who Hunt described as “hard heads.” The Ugly Man group split from the traditional Cossacks after the deadly 2015 biker shootout at Twin Peaks in Waco between the Bandidos and the Cossacks and their respective support groups.

Hunt said the “hard head” Cossacks group had a “smash on sight order” for members of the splinter group and that Morris had been harassing Frentescu for some time.

On the day of the incident, Morris drove by Frentescu’s home, revved his motorcycle engine and “flipped off” Frentescu, Hunt said. He previously had threatened to burn down Frentescu’s house and kill his dog, Hunt said.

“Romi is a peacemaker,” Hunt said. “He tried to calm the situation down. He tried to mediate the situation but Morris would have nothing to do with that.”

He said he rode his motorcycle after Morris to implore him to leave him alone. They pulled over at the intersection, and Hunt said Frentescu only wanted to talk some sense into Morris. He said Morris pulled a switchblade and Johnson showed up and joined them, he said.
Someone in a blue shirt punched Frentescu in the side of the head, knocking him to his knees. He tried to leave on wobbly legs before he saw the man approaching him again. So he pulled his pistol and fired in self-defense, Hunt said. “Romi was defending himself every minute of that day,” Hunt said.Prosecution testimony will resume Tuesday.

If convicted of capital murder, Frentescu faces a life prison term with no parole because the McLennan County District Attorney’s Office elected not to seek the death penalty.

Pagan Motorcycle Club Member Arrested During Florida Keys Traffic Stop

A 39-year-old Big Coppitt Key man identified as a member of the Pagan Motorcycle Club was arrested Saturday night following a traffic stop in the Florida Keys.

Monroe County Deputies stopped Aaron Slater at approximately 8:56 p.m. on Aug. 8, 2026, near Mile Marker 90 while he was riding a motorcycle. Slater was taken into custody for driving with a suspended license.

According to authorities, Slater has received multiple prior citations for the same offense, with his license most recently suspended due to unpaid traffic fines. Deputies transported Slater to jail following the arrest.

Mad Dogs biker gang confirmed as victims of M74 motorway attack

Mark ‘Bruni’ Brown, president of the Mad Dogs biker gang in Scotland, remains in hospital with serious injuries after a targeted attack was carried out by armed individuals on the M74 motorway.

The incident happened at around 1pm on Sunday, August 2, between junctions 10 and 11 near Lesmahagow, when emergency services were called to reports of a disturbance involving a group of motorcyclists and people travelling in four vehicles.

he 63-year-old rider, along with other members of the club, was ambushed by the masked attackers who exited their vehicles with swords and bats, according to a report from the Daily Record. Brown suffered serious injuries as a result, but has vowed to fight on in a social media post that has since been deleted.

Brown said this as part of the social media update:

“A bit of background to what has been going on with the dogs. This is NOT rumours or bulls***, just straight facts.
“To set it straight YES we were attacked on the M74 motorway by 12 masked and heavily armed cowardly cardboard gangster puppets with swords, bats and anything they could grab as a weapon.

“Here’s their version, ‘We are all in hospital and some of us are dead’. Clearly not, you incompetent cowards. You know what, we’re still standing and always will be!

“We have the same rights to drive on the roads as anyone else, doing what we want to do, but some people just can’t handle the fact we’re still here and growing stronger.”

Bruni and other members of the gang were believed to be travelling back from a weekend away in England, when the attack was carried out.
According to Police Scotland, members of the public that witnessed the attack were left shaken, in what appears to have been a calculated and targeted attack. Surprisingly, this might not have be the first time that the two groups were involved in an incident, though, as the Daily Record also says the social media post referred to “previous incidents” between the two groups.

Officers are still trying to trace some of the vehicles involved, although a red Mazda, believed to have been involved in the incident, was later recovered in Ayrshire with its rear window smashed.

Detectives are now appealing for witnesses, particularly anyone who was travelling on the M74 near Lesmahagow at the time of the incident. They’re also asking anyone with dashcam footage, or who saw either the group of motorcycles or the vehicles before or after the attack, to come forward.

LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. — The Lake of the Ozarks area will be abuzz with bikers, as the Hell’s Angels motorcycle club descends on the area as part of this year’s USA Run. Clubs from across the country are expected to attend.

Local hotels have reported a high number of bookings from club members, and the Lake Ozark Speedway has been rented out for the club’s events. On Tuesday evening, motorcyclists could be seen in large numbers on the Lake Ozark Strip.

Lake Ozark Police Chief James Boren reminds drivers to be extra vigilant for the additional motorcycle traffic. He said his officers will have an increased presence on the Strip, which already buzzes with activity on busy summer nights.
