For those attending the 2014 IOMGIA Conference, information regarding transportation from the airport to the conference was recently emailed to all registered users.  The information was sent toward the end of July so if you registered after and did not receive the details, please click here.

To all IOMGIA members,

Just wanted everyone to know that the IOMGIA Board of Directors recently concluded the mid-year meeting in Denver, Colorado. As is always the case, each board member or their agencies were responsible for their travel and related expenses. The Board members attend the mid year and annual training conference each and every year at their own expense because like you, they believe in the mission of IOMGIA.

We have attached the new version of the IOMGIA OMG USA map, which is updated annually by one of the six RISS projects (RMIN). We have added the major and dominant Black 1% gangs to the map, which we could  not have done without the help of Mark Lovett, IOMGIA member and member of the Columbus, Ohio PD.

We have also attached the newest IOMGIA newsletter. We are pretty certain you will enjoy the new look. Our newsletter coordinator, Kelly Moody, San Diego County Sheriffs Office welcomes your articles or items of interest to:

We do not distribute raw intelligence or information that has already been distributed. Using Bubbas famous words, IOMGIA is the Mother Ship of OMG Associations, so we need new and valuable information that is significant internationally.

We are about six months away from IOMGIA Denver 2014, so start planning to attend. A generic “sterilized” version of the training agenda is posted on the members only section in case you need to include it with your request to attend.

Your gang association is a member of the National Alliance of Gang Investigators Associations (NAGIA). NAGIA is comprised of twenty three gang investigator associations which collectively work toward ensuring continued federal funding of gang initiatives and federal and state gang legislation. This flyer will help you understand the priorities that NAGIA works toward achieving on a National level.

NAGIA representatives meet three time each year at meetings that are hosted and funded by the National Gang Intelligence Center (FBI, Washington DC). The NGIC and NAGIA work together to provide assistance to the local members that are the “Boots on the Ground” in the continued fight against gangs.

The IOMGIA Host hotel in downtown St. Paul has sold out the room block for Saturday night before the conference. Please send this e mail to all current IOMGIA members, including those that have signed up to attend this years conference.

The host hotel has made arrangements to have a partner property honor our IOMGIA room rate for Saturday night. The overflow hotel is near the Minneapolis airport and provides a shuttle from the terminals to the overflow hotel. Attendees will need to make arrangements to travel from the overflow hotel to the IOMGIA host hotel on Sunday prior to the conference.

Subject: Cut off date

The hotel cut off date is August 19, 2013 for the guaranteed room rate of $121.00. After August 19, 2013, the hotel has the right to raise the rates and to also release any unused rooms from the IOMGIA room block.
